You don't like it. I don't like it. No one likes it.
For those of you who have been following me on Twitter and Tumblr, you know my recovery has had it's ups and downs. You know that I decided to switch to traditional media. You know that I researched and bought said media. You know that the first time I used it, it set my recovery back 2 weeks.
People keep asking me when GH is starting again and I wish it was that simple. I wish I knew that magic date because I would be handing it out left and right. The answer is: I don't know.
I don't know how long this recovery will take. Hell, I don't even know, officially, what's wrong with me. All I know is that things are going slow and I never leave home without my braces, just in case.
I can do things that I couldn't before. I can carry things and open jars and type again. I can even draw...for maybe an hour. And then not again for weeks. And that's just not good enough.
So, I want to take the pressure off everyone and say that Garden Hose is on hiatus and I don't know when it's coming back. I'm sorry.
The good news is, I know many people enjoyed the Author's Notes even more than the strip itself and, since I can still type, I can keep the information going via my Tumblr.

We love you, Fern! Hope your recovery is speedy and complete... If you can still write, would you maybe like to continue the comic through guest artists? You could keep producing on a low-stress and low-strain basis by scripting and leaving the pacing and art to an artist you trust...
